Education Scholarship Program

The SCAFP Education Scholarship Program was established to award an academic scholarship to an outstanding undergraduate student(s) pursuing a degree in business, including, but not limited to the areas of accounting, economics, finance, marketing, business administration and management.

SCAFP will award two (2) to five (5), $1,000 Scholarships per year to Full time undergraduate students who are Juniors or Seniors pursuing an academic program that will prepare them for a career in banking, accounting, business administration or some form of financial management.


Initial Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be South Carolina resident;
  • Must be U. S. citizen or legal permanent resident;
  • Earn a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 point scale and a GPA in their major area of 3.5 on a 4.0 point scale;
  • Must be enrolled as degree-seeking students at eligible South Carolina public or independent (private) institutions;
  • Not currently a recipient of a full scholarship;
  • Must meet all general eligibility criteria.

Application Process:
Students interested in applying must submit the following:

  1. Completed Scholarship Application Form. (PDF)
  2. A one-page summary of academic achievement including the applicant's GPA (overall and major area) and a list of all relevant courses taken or completed.
  3. Provide a discussion document based on the latest developments in the Treasury Management field. Do not exceed more than 3-5 double-spaced pages excluding any attachments.
  4. Letter of recommendation from the Major field faculty member can also be submitted along with essay.


Selection:
SCAFP Scholarship Committee will review the applications and make recommendations to the Board of Directors. Board will approve the final selection.


Funding:
Funding for this scholarship will be based on proceeds from our Cash Adventure Conference each year.
